Alicia Garcia-Romero is a native of Northern California and a graduate of UC Davis with a degree in Interior Architecture. She was Boyd Lighting's Art Director for five years, creating Boyd’s advertising, sales collateral, catalogs, brochures, web site imagery, product installations shots and special event signage. In previous iterations of her career she designed and constructed tradeshow exhibits, co-owned a marketing agency, worked on set design for film and commercials, acted as interior designer for a hip restaurant, designed wine labels and has helped build brand identities for start-up companies. Alicia is a force of nature who treads a fine line between flower child and technician; a sensitive soul with a spine of steel. She has a rare talent for discerning “true north” in design and an unwavering ability to work productively with anyone which makes her a favorite at Boyd.
Now, for the first time, Alicia has focused her prodigious creative energy on fixture design and the results are unforgettable. Her first, dynamic table lamp for Boyd exhibits a stylistic flexibility that is a reflection of the designer herself. Alicia lives in San Francisco, California with her husband.
