Tom Nahabedian is a Designer with an Architecture pedigree. He was educated at the University of Illinois at Urbana/Champaign [Bachelor of Arts in Economics] and the Illinois Institute of Technology [Master of Architecture].
Following years of training with architecture firms, Nahabedian started his practice in early 2000 in Los Angeles before moving back to Chicago to form Bureau|AD, a boutique interdisciplinary architecture and design firm.
His work is punctuated by rigorous attention to all things designed; through detail, contextuality, materiality, sustainability, and innovation. The firm has completed many noteworthy and award-winning projects, including the acclaimed Brindille restaurant, for which it received the 2015 James Beard Foundation Award for Outstanding Restaurant Design.
Life as a husband and father of two occupies most of Tom’s time away from the drawing board.
